General Privacy Policy

OMIP's website can be visited without the user having to provide any personal information. In situations where personal data is requested, the user agrees that his data is collected and processed by OMIP – Pólo Português, SGMR, SA only for the below purposes.

OMIP adopts appropriate physical, logical, technical and organizational security measures in order to protect personal data against its dissemination, alteration, loss, misuse, treatment, theft and unauthorized access, as well as against any other form of illicit processing.

OMIP undertakes to use personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected.

In the course of its activity, OMIP uses external service providers who may have access to personal data for which OMIP is responsible. In such cases, OMIP adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that subcontractors ensure compliance with applicable privacy and personal data protection legislation, including the exercise of the rights of data subjects.

OMIP undertakes to notify the competent authorities, according to the established legal terms, of any breach of personal data that is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects.

OMIP also undertakes to notify the data subject, according to the established legal terms, of violations of his personal data which may result in a high risk to his rights and freedoms.

Rights of Personal Data Subjects

The subject of personal data may, at any time, exercise his rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability and limitation of the processing, in accordance with the terms defined in the current legislation, without prejudice to the fulfilment of the legal obligations to which OMIP is subject to. In this sense, the subject of personal data shall exercise his rights before the responsible for the processing of personal data in accordance with the above and may have to prove before OMIP his ownership.

The subject of personal data may also file a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) if he considers that the processing carried out violates the provisions of applicable law.

Personal data will be processed for the period of time necessary to fulfill the purposes of its processing and will be retained by OMIP during the mandatory legal deadlines.
